Apostle Joy declares the year 2025 year of ‘Absolute Victory’

by Farai Makopa

A powerful fire of hope and inspiration ignited as the New Creation Life International Ministries (NCL) church gathered for its annual crossover service at Goldridge College on the evening of the 31st of December 2024. Apostle Joy, resplendent in an immaculate all-white suit, was joined by the ever-graceful Pastor Mary, who radiated elegance in her pristine attire. The congregation joined in the celebration, with men clad in striking white regalia and ladies adorned in expertly crafted blue and white NCL-branded garments.

The atmosphere was electric, filled with the sweet scent of worship, nothing short of pure and serene. The elegant décor, adorned with intricate designs and vibrant colours, created a breathtaking backdrop for the celebration. The NCL choir’s soul-stirring hymns mesmerized the congregation, their harmonious voices weaving a tapestry of worship that inspired and uplifted all.

As we stepped into 2025, Apostle Joy announced the powerful theme: “The Year of Absolute Victory,” supported by the profound scripture from 1st John 5 verse 4 (KJV) which reads: “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith”. The journey ahead has been set forth, with additional inspiration drawn from Deuteronomy 20 verse 4 (KJV). On this momentous evening, Apostle Joy shared vital points, each designed to reinforce our understanding of what absolute victory truly means.

He highlighted the notion of blessings that are long overdue for the faithful. “Whenever you hear the word victory, it signals the presence of a fight,” he declared. ‘Challenges will arise, but they are merely stepping stones to your triumph,” he expressed. True victory is reserved for those who are willing to confront the battles ahead. The Biblical account of Exodus 17 verses 8 to 14 (KJV) underscores this: God positioned Moses atop the mountain with uplifted hands, enabling the fighters in the valley to conquer the Amalekites. This divine strategy is a clear message for us – victory demands fighting against adversities.

Embracing 2025, Apostle Joy reminded congregants of the importance of being warriors of faith, not just prayer warriors in the mountains but also active participants in the valleys, taking hold of our victories as we defeat every ‘Amalek’ that stands in our way. He communicated a crucial mandate: every instruction received is accompanied by divine enablement, reflecting in our lives – transforming our bank balances and redefining our future. Additionally, he highlighted the significance of cultivating “victorious faith.” Faith is the condition and raw material for achieving our hopes, as emphasized in Hebrews 11 verse 1 (KJV). The Amplified version of the Bible eloquently captures this notion: faith is our ‘title deed.’ This means we must carry our victories internally, grounded in unwavering commitment, even before they manifest in the physical realm.

Charging forward into this new year, it is imperative to hold firm to these empowering truths. To be individuals who are destined for greatness, equipped for every battle, and poised to claim victories. A journey has to be embarked on irrevocable victory.

Absolute Victory!
